Hello MCR!

Hope you've enjoyed the Welfare and Education facilities and events so far this term!

As ever, if you want condoms either email me (at mcr-welfare-officer@dow.cam.ac.uk) or ask me or another MCR committee member in person and we can fetch you some free Durex condoms from the MCR office (all under strict confidentiality). Alternatively, I keep a limited number in my pigeon hole (F. Gibbons) for you to take, and they're also available free from the Downing College nurse (room O5) or from the CUSU office (in the New Museum Site) for 144 for just twelve pounds.

I also have a few pregnancy tests which I can give to anyone who needs one (again, all in strict confidence - administered in any of the same ways listed above).

If you would like to take a free chlamydia test then you can order one for free from: freetest.me.uk

There are attack alarms, dental dams and bike lights available from the CUSU office at a cheap rate.

In general, I am contactable either in person (I am in the MCR most evenings) or via email or pigeon hole. I am here to listen to any problems you may be facing (be it education or welfare related), help guide you through any options available to you and signpost you to the relevant specialists if I do not have the right information or expertise. Anything you say to me will be kept confidentially (unless under circumstances where I feel you may be at risk to yourself or others) and I feel I am an approachable, friendly and non-judgemental officer.
